matchaskill (“we”, “us”) provides a platform to evaluate technical talent through AI video interviews and competency scoring. This policy explains how we handle the personal data of our customers (companies that hire) and of the candidates they invite. For candidate data, we act as a data processor on behalf of the hiring company (the data controller); for our customer account data, we act as the controller.

Information we collect

• Account data: name, work email, company, and password of the customer users who manage hiring processes.
• Candidate data: name, email, application responses, the video and audio of the interview, its live transcript, and the competency scores generated from it.
• Usage data: log data, device and browser information, IP address, and cookies.

How we use information

• Operate the service: run interviews and generate competency scoring and reports.
• Authenticate users and keep accounts secure.
• Provide support and improve the product.
• Send service and billing communications.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data.

AI processing

Interviews are conducted by an AI interviewer and the resulting audio and transcript are processed by AI models to generate competency scoring. Candidates are informed before the interview that it is recorded and evaluated with AI.

Sharing and sub-processors

We share data with service providers only as needed to run the service:

• Cloud infrastructure providers (hosting and storage).
• AI, large-language-model, and speech-to-text providers used to conduct and score interviews.
• Email and analytics providers.
• Authorities or third parties when required by law.

All providers act under data-processing agreements and may only use the data to provide their service to us.

Data retention

We keep account data while the account is active. Candidate data is retained according to the hiring company’s configuration and applicable legal requirements, and is deleted on request.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, but we work to protect your data.

International transfers

Data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Candidates should first contact the company that invited them, as it is the data controller. To exercise rights with us, email contacto@matchaskill.com.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and may use optional analytics cookies to understand product usage.

Children

matchaskill is intended for professional hiring and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
